- If you are currently taking anti-coagulation medications (Warfarin, Coumadin, Heparin, Lovenox, Enoxaparin, Lepirudin, Refludan, Ticlopidine Ticlid, Clopidogrel, Plavix, Tirofiban, Aggrastat, Eptifibatide, Integrilin), discuss the use of these medications with your healthcare provider prior to your treatment. You may or may not be a candidate for treatment with cosmetic dermal fillers.
- If you are prone to cold sores (oral herpes simplex), take your prescribed medication (Famvir, Famciclovir, Valtrex, Valacyclovir, Acyclovir) as prescribed in the 24 hours prior to your treatment.

- Avoid applying pressure or any type of manipulation to the area for 48 hours after the procedure.
- Avoid facials of any kind for 2 weeks.
- Avoid vigorous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, and steam rooms for 48 hours after injections.
- Avoid blood thinning substances (fish oil, Advil, and some herbal supplements) to minimize bruising.
- If signs and symptoms of infection or vascular occlusion arise, (warmth at the site of injection, abnormal discoloration, extreme pain) or if you develop a fever, please contact our office so our staff may assist you.
- Lumps and bumps are normal post procedure, if you notice them persisting, apply small amounts of pressure or massage the area to smooth the bump.
