Aloha Med Spa offers a comprehensive portfolio of treatments for common skin concerns as well as specific aesthetic goals.
Masseter Reduction (TMJ)
At Aloha Med Spa, we offer masseter reduction treatments using advanced Botox techniques to address TMJ-related concerns effectively. By targeting the masseter muscles responsible for jaw movement and clenching, our skilled practitioners can alleviate TMJ symptoms and achieve facial slimming. Botox injections into the masseter muscles help relax them, reducing their size over time and alleviating pain associated with TMJ disorders.
Masseter reduction with TMJ (temporomandibular joint) refers to a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting botulinum toxin (Botox) into the masseter muscles of the jaw. This non-invasive procedure not only improves jaw function but also enhances facial contours, providing our clients with a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Experience relief from TMJ discomfort and achieve facial harmony with our tailored masseter reduction treatments
For maintenance, Botox injections for TMJ are usually repeated every 3 to 6 months.
The timing may vary based on how quickly symptoms return and the individual's response to Botox.
People with Chronic Jaw Pain:
- Those suffering from persistent jaw pain, tenderness, or discomfort related to TMJ disorders can benefit from Botox, which helps relax the muscles and reduce pain.
Individuals with Bruxism:
- Patients who grind or clench their teeth excessively (bruxism) often develop TMJ disorders. Botox can alleviate the muscle tension associated with bruxism, thereby reducing wear on the teeth and jaw pain.
Those Experiencing Jaw Tension and Muscle Spasms:
- Botox can help reduce muscle tension and spasms in the jaw, providing relief from stiffness and discomfort.
Patients with Limited Jaw Movement:
- Individuals who have difficulty opening or closing their mouths due to TMJ disorders may find that Botox helps improve their range of motion by relaxing the masseter muscles.
People with Headaches or Migraines Linked to TMJ:
- Chronic headaches or migraines that are linked to TMJ disorders can be alleviated by reducing muscle tension in the jaw with Botox injections.
Individuals Looking for Non-Surgical Treatment Options:
- Those seeking a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment for TMJ disorders may prefer Botox as a less risky alternative to surgical interventions.
Patients Who Have Not Found Relief with Other Treatments:
- People who have tried other treatments such as physical therapy, oral appliances, or medications without sufficient relief may benefit from trying Botox injections.
Individuals Concerned with Facial Aesthetics:
- Botox can also help reduce the size of hypertrophic masseter muscles, providing both functional relief from TMJ symptoms and cosmetic benefits by slimming the jawline.
